class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Naples Classical Academy (NCA) allows &#8220;Non-Traditional&#8221; (Homeschool, etc.) students to try out for any sport per the FHSAA bylaw 9.2.2.1, which states:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.2.2.1 Home Education Student: A legally registered home education student may participate at one of the following:<\/span><\/p><ol><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The student\u2019s home-zoned public school; or<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The public school the student could choose to attend according to controlled open<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">enrollment provisions (as per \u00a7 1002.31, F.S.); or<\/span><\/p><ol start=\"3\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A charter\/lab or private school that will accept the student for participation; or<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A home education cooperative to which the student belongs.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NCA defines a \u201cHome Education\u201d student according to the FHSAA standards in bylaw 9.2.2.1.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.2.2.1.1 Home Education Student Requirements: To participate in interscholastic athletics, a<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">home education student must (per \u00a7 1006.15(3)(c)1-7, F.S.):<\/span><\/p><ol><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Register as a home education student with the district school superintendent in the<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">student\u2019s county of residence.<\/span><\/p><ol start=\"2\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Register with NCA with the intent to participate in interscholastic athletics as a<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">representative of the school before participation.<\/span><\/p><ol start=\"3\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Meet the same standards of acceptance, behavior, and performance required by NCA for all<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">participating students.<\/span><\/p><ol start=\"4\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Certify to NCA at the end of each semester that they meet the minimum cumulative GPA<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">required for participation.<\/span><\/p><ol start=\"5\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Meet all other FHSAA eligibility requirements.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Be registered with the FHSAA Office annually using a form provided by the Association.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compliance: The participating \u201cHome Education\u201d student must adhere to all aspects of FHSAA<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bylaw 9.2.2.1.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2ffc6e9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-button\" data-id=\"2ffc6e9\"
