8th Grade Award Ceremony

8th grade families are invited to join us for this momentous occasion.  This event is for 8th grade scholars & families only.  Family seating begins at approximately 1:05PM.

Eighth-grade scholars will soon be completing the second stage in the classical trivium (grammar, logic, and rhetoric). These scholars are moving out of the logic stage and into the rhetoric stage, that stage of classical education wherein all their prior learning comes together. While all skills are developed at all stages of the classical trivium, it is within this third stage that scholars learn to synthesize information to form and articulate their own opinions — opinions built upon the rules of learning and the factual foundations of each discipline (grammar), with rhetorical skills and sound reasoning (logic), and within the framework of truth, goodness, and beauty.
