Weekly Newsletter – 2.27.26

Dear NCA Families,

We have had an inspired week of learning at NCA! From our 5th graders demonstrating their knowledge of nature conservation through artistic brochures, to our student government working to ensure scholar voices are heard – the school has been brimming with scholarship and leadership this week.

Measles Update

I have been in frequent contact with the Florida Department of Health, to review proper protocols and relay information. Our priority is to ensure the health and safety of all stakeholders. Below, I have restated the facts surrounding the possible exposure that took place:

-February 10th was the date in which the visitor was on-campus.

-The individual was not a student, parent or scholar.

-The FLDOH reported that the maximum window for contracting the virus is 21 days at the date of possible exposure.

-Based on the 21-day period, March 2 will be the final date of our precautionary restrictions for public events on our campus.

-If no other cases are reported, we will resume public-facing activities on our campus, starting on March 3rd.

Our school team is working to reschedule events that were cancelled. Please refer to previous informational emails sent out, and contact your healthcare provider for further assistance.

Our Virtue of the Month: Responsibility

“I will do my duty and accept the consequences of my actions.”

What a different world we would live in if everyone would accept responsibility for their actions. At NCA, we are partnering with our families to instill this virtue in all of our scholars. Our scholars are taught that they have a duty to themselves, their families and their teachers to be responsible for their learning.

NCA Pillars of Virtue: Courage, Honesty, Perseverance, Self-Government, Service, Courtesy, and Responsibility.

We hope that your family has a good weekend and we look forward to welcoming you back to campus on Monday!

Sincerely,

Mr. Wester

Head of School
