Dear NCA Families,
It was a short but rewarding week at Naples Classical Academy. From the wonderful scholar presentations during Poetry and Prose to the senior scholars demonstrating mastery of literature during their senior thesis defenses – our scholars showcased their knowledge this week. Our upper school scholars had the opportunity to take part in a presentation about the founding of our nation and the electoral college from speaker Mr. Michael Maibach.
As we head into the final seven weeks of this school year, we have a few important announcements for all families:
2026-27 Re-Enrollment Deadline: April 15th
We are two short weeks away from the re-enrollment window closing for the upcoming school year. The re-enrollment process is less tedious than the new scholar enrollment process – which will begin on April 16th. If you plan to have re-enroll your child(ren), we strongly encourage you to complete the re-enrollment process. As a small way to show our appreciation for all families that will continue their child’s classical education at NCA, we are providing Chick-fil-A lunches for re-enrolled scholars during our End-of-Year Family Celebration on May 22nd (12:30 – 2:30 PM). If you have any questions about re-enrollment at NCA, please contact our registrar, Mrs. Abney. Please use this link to complete the re-enrollment process.
BASE Program Policy
For all scholars that are not picked up by 3:30, following our dismissal process, they are automatically enrolled in our BASE afterschool program. In order to ensure our scholars safety and supervision, and this has been our policy for the entirety of the school year. There is a daily fee for drop-in scholars. Please ensure that if you arrive after 3:30, that you pick your child up from BASE. If you have any questions relating to BASE, please contact Mr. Simpreux.
NCA Summer Camp – Early Bird Registration Ends April 15th
We are excited to have our scholars join us for summer camp at NCA. Please see the camp details further down in the newsletter, and register on/before April 15th to get the $170.00 weekly fee rate. The rate will increase to $220.00 per week on April 16th. We have 8 great weeks of themed activities for your child – don’t delay in registering!
Virtue of the Month: Honesty
“I will speak the truth and act truthfully a with myself and others.”
As Thomas Jefferson noted, “honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.” We instill honesty as a virtue through scholars reading and discussing examples throughout literature of the deeds of our founders. Our founding fathers demonstrated the willingness to act truthfully for the betterment of masses, not simply for their own good. We encourage your family to discuss this virtue with your scholar/s.
In closing, I hope that your family enjoys meaningful time together over this long holiday weekend. We look forward to welcoming your family back to campus when classes resume on Tuesday, April 7th.
Sincerely,
Mr. Wester
Head of School
