Greetings NCA Families,
We trust that you and your family had a great week, and that you have enjoyed the start of October!
This week at NCA, we saw many on-campus visitors enjoying the poetry skills and the competitive spirits of our scholars. With four Poetry & Prose events, we had families from kindergarten to eighth grade witness our scholars’ mastery of poetry. The 4th and 5th grade Greek Day happening today provides Olympic-style games and competitions for our families to watch our scholars showcase their fire to compete.
On Thursday night, NCA hosted a special event, with two college admissions representatives on-campus (from FGCU & Ave Maria University), to review “mock college applications” with attendees. Our families in grades 8-12 were invited to attend and gain a deeper understanding of which applicants get into these universities, and why they are accepted.
Here are a few important upcoming dates and details:

The Virtue for this Month is Perseverance, and as we conclude the first marking period and transition to the second marking period, our scholars will need to demonstrate their stamina for learning. We view the educational process as a partnership between parent, scholar and teacher, with our teacher being the expert within the classroom.
Help Grow Our School Community
We still have spaces in select grade levels, and we want your help to grow our school family. Do you have a family members or friends whose children would benefit from a classical education in the liberal arts? If so, please refer them to Mrs. Abney.
Mrs. Abney can provide additional information to prospective families, set up tours and help arrange shadow visit days. Please have any interested parent reach out to Mrs. Abney for more information about the NCA community and becoming a Patriot! She can be reached at mabney@naplesclassical.org.
At the end of October, we are going to reward two parents/families with a “Thank You” gift card drawing – to show our appreciation. While we know that our families do not need any added motivation to promote our school, these gift cards will be a small token of our appreciation. To be considered for this drawing, just have the visiting/enrolling family note that you specifically referred them to NCA when they apply or register (on/after 10/01/25).
I hope that your family has productive parent-teacher conferences, and that the 5-day weekend will provide relaxation and reinvigoration.
Thank you for being a part of, and supporting, our NCA community!
Mr. Wester
Head of School
