Weekly Newsletter – 10.3.25

Hello NCA Families,

We enjoyed a great week at NCA, and we hope you did as well!

Below, you will find important announcements for the week ahead:

Parent-Teacher Conferences

As we move closer to the end of the first marking period, we are getting ready for parent-teacher conferences, on October 13-14. Conferences will be held from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM on both days. For parents with scholars in grades 6-12, please note that scholars are asked to attend the conferences with their parent or guardian. The 6-12 grade conferences will be team-based, and will include all of the scholar’s teachers (when possible).

  • Drop-in or unscheduled conferences are not permitted; please schedule on the dates noted.
  • Please register using the links provided in prior emails sent. Please see Upper School links provided further down in the newsletter.
  • School is not in-session, and no childcare is provided during the week of 10/13 – 10/17.

BASE Program Policy – 3:30 PM

NCA provided a 6-week grace period for our families, which allowed our families to collect their children up until 3:40, with no charge applied. We are now 8-weeks into the school year, and with our dismissal period ending at/prior to 3:30 PM each day, all scholars that have not been picked-up by 3:30 will be placed into the BASE program. This to ensure the supervision and safety of each scholar after school. BASE staff supervision is required after 3:30, for all scholars that are not involved in other enrichment activities after school.

Here are some upcoming on-campus events next week at NCA:

Saturday, October 4th

  • NCA Booster Club Fundraiser Car Wash, 8:00 – 11:00 AM
  • Please come out and get your car cleaned while helping our scholars in their athletic pursuits!

Monday, October 6th

  • NCA Spirit Shirts distributed by PTC to scholars

Thursday, October 9th

  • Mock College Application Night (Presentation) 6:00 PM
  • For 8th – 12th grade NCA scholars and parents to attend.
  • Two university admissions representatives (Ave Maria/FGCU) will be on-hand to walk guests through actual admissions committee application decisions, to better understand “Who gets in, and why”.
